Organization
MSIgroup is a collaborative effort involving organizations working to simplify and enhance the use of mobile and stationary information technology in the transport industry. MSIgroup consists of a steering committee and a technical committee.
Steering committee
The steering committee is composed of 7 to 9 members, 1 to 2 deputies, and a chairman. The steering committee:
- Represents MSIgroup
- Appoints director of operative and administraive management
- Appoints chairman of the technical committee
- Decides the work order of the technical committee
- Decides on the publication of new versions of MSI
- Manages applications for membership
- Draws up budget
- Decides on investments
Technical committee
The technical committee consists of at least 3 members, representing member organizations' various areas of expertise. The essential task is to prepare and implement suggestions for improval of MSI.
Future development
MSIgroup will as of july 1st 2007 be transformed into a stock corporation. The newly formed corporation will accept incoming partnership applications from companies presently not a part of MSIgroup.
